2004 Impala need to find out this part
What is the name of this part right here? I guess the hose is plastic, either that or it had gotten really hot. Anyway, I found it snapped in two and would like to replace the hose. My car has been having problems staying running while it's parked, without my foot on the gas (Idle problems). It dies right after I start it. Also I have a compressed upper radiator hose? Wondering if all of this would stop my car from running.

kinda hard to tell from the picture.
if its connected to the end of the fuel rail; its a fuel pressure regulator. It should have a plastic vacuum line connected to it that plugs into the intake manifold. when the vacuum tube is broken the car will overfuel and only run good at wide open throttle.
if there is no fuel in the port of the regulator; its internal diaphram is still intact. Replaced the vacuum line as see if that corrects itself.
