Air Intakes
I have a 2004 Impala 3.4L. I was curious if a air intake would fit in my car, because K and N only sells them for 3.8L
Does this matter?
About how much horsepower could you gain as well?

RE: Air Intakes
I was wondering the same thing. It looks like the same setup as far as air boxes go, but it's hard to say from just pictures. I'll probably just put in the high flow K&N replacement filter.

You should be able to go to autozone, advanced auto, or any auto store that sells K&N filters;tell them what you need and what you have, and they can set you up with a K&Nfilter to fit you car.

RE: Air Intakes
Ive seen the high flow filters
are they as good as people say they are or is it the same as any old filter, Im guessing there isn't a power gain with a high flow filter
cost??

RE: Air Intakes
I have the 2007 Impala LS with the 3.5L.I bought the K&N panel filter replacement for it. There was not an intake kit for it however. I was told from K&N that I should only expect 2-4 hp increase from the panel filter but I do get the million mile warranty. So I don't have to buy Air filters at $14 a pop. Just the one for around $45.
I have to say that on strictly highway I was getting 35 mpg(Iam surethat will gohigher on longer trips. It is ratedat 31mpg) so there may also be a mileage increase with that filter. I don't really notice that big of a performance increase though. With gas as expensive as it is saving that extramoney inmpgwill pay forthe filterin no time.
