So, the content theft-deterrent system is not arming for some reason. I don't think the remote start feature would work either, then (if you say it works fine, I'm going to have a fit.). Anyway, I suggest a visit to the service department.

Sorry, but, my factory remote start does work just fine. Always has. I will have to get my hands on the build sheet for this vehicle and look at the RPO codes. Then, I guess I can determine whether the factory alarm is in the car in the first place... or, if it is just remote keyless entry and remote start without the alarm. The alarm is not going to work if it isn't there in the first place. Not going to go to the service department at my dealer until I figure this out.

DavidS1206, I can check your vin for the alarm system if you'd like. Just direct message me your VIN and I'll check it for you. I hope that helps.

Well... I now have the build sheet for my vehicle and I have looked over all the RPO codes... there is no anti-theft alarm system listed. Explains why it doesn't work because it isn't there. Oh, well... maybe if I get the right parts, I can put it in...

Hmm, I had assumed it was a standard feature. Thanks for the update.

My anti theft isn't working and I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I left my sunroof open and it rained and now my ac controller isn't working so I ordered a replacement, also the security isn't working. When I lock the truck it will not beep on the second lock and the panic button doesn't do anything. Apart from the ac controller and security everything else seems to work fine. Could I be as simple as a fuse?
