Default DRL's

Can someone instruct me on how to (permanently) shut off the daytime running lights on my 2010 Impala ?
I shouldn't have to manually turn them off every time i start the car.
If it's in the owners manual I am over looking it because I cant find it.

Thanks for any help !

I do not see any information in your owners manual that would show you any controls that would permanently turn off your DRL system. There is however a fuse block illustration that shows where these fuses are located. I hope that helps you. I would also like to say that taking out these fuses is not recommended.

I've no idea why anyone would mind DRLs. It's not like this is a third world country where people drive around without lights to, what, save the bulbs or alternator?

remove the bulbs, install already burnt out bulbs, remove the DRL fuse, can try having your local dealer see if they can program them to be off

To shut off the DRL's pull fuse 17 and 18 (both 15 amp) from the under the hood fuse box. This will shut the DRL's off and the automatic system will continue to work normally.
