Default Help my check engine light is driving me crazy!!!

Check engine light came on in my 96 Impala SS and im not one to drive with it on so i had the code pulled P1441 and was told it was probably my Mass Air flow. Changed that and a day later the light came back on. Next was the evap canister and its hoses. Changed that and bought a new gas cap and still the light came on the next day. And it always comes on after the car has sat over night and after driving only a few miles from home. Im frustrated and lost. What else can it be?? someone please help me! Thank you

P1441 means "EVAP Canister continuous open purge flow or high voltage during non-purge." The PCM detects a stuck-open EVAP purge solenoid by monitoring the EVAP purge vacuum switch state. The switch should be closed (grounding the circuit) during non-purge, i.e., solenoid closed and thus no vacuum present which is most of the time. So, the problem is either mechanical (is the switch bad or is vacuum present always?) or electrical (broken wire between the switch and the PCM?). Start your troubleshooting at the purge solenoid by the throttle body and work back.

The last time I had this problem, I had to replace the charcoal cannister to correct the problem.
