Impala AC issue

I have a 2008 Impala - 50,000 miles. When I turn off the motor, there is a knocking in the area of the ac control panel. It lasts about 30 seconds. Also occurs sometimes when I turn on the motor.

Welcome to the forum.
Does it sound like an air door flapping (perhaps the recirculation mode door)? Sometimes an actuator goes out of synchronization and thus the HVAC control module needs to go through the relearn procedure. This requires a visit to the service department.

kmslattery,
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. I agree with EinST that you would need to visit your service department. Please let me know if you take your vehicle to the dealership.
Thank you,
Elizabeth, Chevrolet Customer Service
