Getting a P0449 code. On a the Tahoe its either vent solenoid or evap canister.
Would it be the same on my 07 Impala?

Welcome to the forum. P0449 means an electrical problem in the EVAP vent solenoid circuit., not to be confused with P0446 which could possibly be the EVAP canister. The solenoid is supplied a battery voltage over one wire. The ECM commands the solenoid on by grounding the other wire, thus completing the circuit. At the same time, the ECM monitors the voltage state on the circuit. It declares P0449 when it detects an illogical state on the circuit, i.e., either the absence of voltage when the circuit is open (floating) or presence of voltage when the circuit is grounded. Have the EVAP vent solenoid and wiring checked.
