Default smelling/losing coolant

Does anyone know of '07 3.5 V6 intake gasket problem? I'm smelling coolant occasionly and losing a little. I heard that it might be a gasket issue. TIA Chris

Is the smell inside the vehicle or engine compartment?

Default coolant leak/smell

Mike, the smell is under hood . I don't see any wet areas where the leak may be. Now that the weather has cooled off I don't smell it. One month or so ago when it was much warmer the smell was quite evident. Car is wife's commuter,(45 miles each way), so engine is nice and warm when she gets home, that's when it is noticeable, leading me to think maybe it's an intake gasket. My neighbor runs a junk yard; he's heard of this and thinks it may be gasket. Car is '07 Impala , 3.5 V6, 133,000 miles. So I thought a 2nd opinion would be smart. Thanks for the response, Chris
