Default Steel Wheels

Just registered. Nice forum. I wanted to get some black steel rims, like the cop cars, for my '02 Impala. Any ideas on where I should look. I live in Maryland if location is needed. Thanks for the help.

Any 2000-2008 Impala, Monte Carlo,or Grand prix wheel will fit, check your local salvage yard.
You will need to drill and tap your steel wheels to install the police caps, as they bolt on, unless you find a set of the heavy duty police steel wheels that already have the threaded inserts. There is a set near me in Iowa, but the shipping would be expensive. Try your local tire dealers for a set of take-off wheels, that is where I got mine.
I am doing the same thing, and found a set of centercaps on ebay.
I will drill & tap my steel wheels to mount the 9C1 cop caps.
There is a set of cop caps on ebay now from the same guy I got mine from, item number 20019623458 They are caps removed from NEW cop cars.

(see my post above for mounting caps without drilling)

Yes, It can be done, You do need the factory 9C1 lug nuts.
I mounted mine using the 15/64 ODvacuum hose under the lugnuts coiled like an O-ring.
Send me your email adress, I will send a picture & details of how it works.
