Default v8 to v6?

I know it sounds extremely dumb, but i wanna be using my 68 impala as my main car and simply can't afford to run a big block v8 motor regularly.

Anyway, would this be an expensive procedure? And are there any v8 motors out there that are cheap to run?

thanks

Expensive and EXTREMELY not worth it. Better off getting another car for that price

IMHO just keep the V8 on that Impala. Then just use that classic ride during weekends. Just get another car as your daily driver, an inline 4 perhaps becuase their much easier on gas mileage. Just my 2 cents.
