This is What the 2016 Nissan Maxima is Bringing to the Fight Against the Chevrolet Impala

Last week, I got the chance to take a short drive around Dallas in the 2016 Nissan Maxima, which competes against cars like the Chevrolet Impala. I have yet to drive the Impala, but I thought I'd tell you Chevy fans what Nissan is offering in the large sedan segment.

Let's see what you have to say when that CVT chokes way before a "conventional" transmission.

Oh, and you should have at least have test driven an Impala before writing a review in this forum. (IMHO)

Along with my 2014 Impala, I own a 2009 Nissan Altima and the CVT has been perfect. I have the 3.5 liter engine and admittedly it uses the beefed up CVT found in the Murano (at least in 2009). There was such an uproar about the CVT when I bought this car, Nissan extended the CVT warranty to 10 years 100,000 miles to allay any fears.
