While this model ended its run, it is not uncommon to see them on the road or off, years after production end.

Default No Spark

I have a 1987 K5 Blazer and it has no spark. It's a mud truck and was down at the river when it died. Got home opened the cap and it had a lot of moisture under it. I let it dry out real good and still nothing. So I replaced the cap, rotor, coil, ignition module and still nothing. Also I should say its a HEI distributor not the original on the 350. So then I checked all fuses and made sure I had a good ground and hot wire to the distributor. Everything checked out. Today I added a large ground strap to the block and frame and still nothing. Im at a loss at this point....... Any ideas?

Thanks

How did you check to see if there was spark? Are you sure that it is an ignition problem and not a fuel problem?

i hope the way u check for spark was by attatching the plug to a wire and grounding it to the exhaust manifold, if no spark and coil and moule changed, then i would check for power at the wire powering the coil, if it has power, it may be worth it to go to a junkyeard and buy a $30 used dizzy
