hello!
blazer k5 1990, 5.7L - while cruising on 90-100kph the transmission seems like it can't decide in which gear it wants to be in.
this "jump" happens several times in each drive, while the gas paddle is in solid position of course. a quick jump between the third and the forth and then it settles down.
any ideas?

try resetting the throttle valve cable its right below the throttle cable. To reset it you push down on half moon shaped tab and push the plastic part in frt all the way back and then push the throttle with the engine off all the way to wide open throttle this will make a ratchet noise that is the easiest thing to try first without tearing into the trans

i was just about to ask how do i reset the tv cable, so thanks for that.
let's just assume it's not the tv cable but the torque converter - am i putting the transmission in a potential for greater damage by driving the truck daily? should i let the truck "rest" for this situation?

I'm pretty sure my 93' K5 is doing the same thing but at the same time if I hold speed at say 50 MPH I can feel a pulsing in my seat. Kind of a surge if you will. I don't see it in the tach or the speedo at all which leads me to think it may be the tranny. My engine is a built SB with a 204/214 cam and quite a few other goodies and some say I may be feeling the cam?
