We recently purchased an 06 malibu maxx LT, 3.5, V6 and the guy we bought it from did not have the keyless remote. It was a REPO. He also did not know if it had factory remote start.
Question #1, How do I find out If it has either factory, aftermarket, or NO,remote start?
Q #2, If it has a remote start, does anyone know how to program for keyless entry and starter once i purchase the remote?
Any advice welcome. Thanks, James

 

easiest way would be to go to a dealer and have them check the vin..or PM it ot me and I can tell you if it has it, as for getting it going, you will need new fobs, and have them programmed, pretty sure that requires a Tech 2 programmer..

 

Did you have any luck with the remotes? I am in the same boat. I called the dealer yesterday and the remotes are $110 plus $45 to program them (each). Seems ridiculous to me.

I found them online for around $45 apiece, butof course you still have to get them programmed.
