Default 9th gen Chevy Malibu Possible Turbo Issue?

I own a 2016 Chevy Malibu 1.5 L Turbo engine and I am currently at 225,000 miles with no major issues. I know from reading around that making it to this many miles is pretty good but as of recently my car has been making a humming/vibrating noise at different speeds. Sometimes its between 60-70 mph, sometimes its between 30-40 mph and sometimes its at 20 mph. The car will start to hum and vibrate and it feels like I am running over rumble strips on the side of the road. I took it to a small shop and asked them about it during an oil change and they came back and said it was the turbo going out. Now asking around I have heard the turbos on these Malibu's are prone to going out but anytime I do any research on the top reasons this generation of Malibu fails or breaks down, the turbo doesn't even make the top 10 issues. There are no check engine lights or any lights at all and I have not had any warnings or messages either. I have not hooked up a code reader at all yet but I am looking for advice as to what it might be. I have a turbo ordered already and was going to replace it myself but I just want to see if anyone else has any ideas
