Novice here,
Just wondering if there is anyway to reset the check engine light on my 2000 Malibu without a code reader? Fuel Pump went out. I replaced it, but that darn check engine light is still lit.

if you fixed the problem thats setting the dtc; the mil light with turn off after the monitor runs and passes 3 times consecutivly. So 3 trips or 3 drive cycles that meet the criteria for the monitor to run. 40 drive cycles without a fail will erase the dtc from the computer's history.

scan tool is the only other way.
