Default HELP!? 2005 Malibu Maxx LS

I have a re3peated smell of gas outside of my car. Any ideas?

Also, I have to try to start the car repeatedly before it will start.

Door locks wont work, only driver door, and all lights dim when I use it.

Any help with this rooling deathtrap would be appreciated!

Thanks,
mike

Could be any number of things. Look under car to see if there is a leak and note where it is coming from above. If it's from the rear, it's probably the tank or gas line. From the front, it could be gas line or fuel rails to the injection system, which you may be able to see leakage under the hood also.

When does it do this? Is the car hot, cold or either one? If it is hard starting when hot, hold the gas peddle down about 1/4 and then try starting.

It's not unusual for lights to dim slightly when using the power locks. Do you have a key fob? If so, does it also dim the lights or is it just the switches inside the car? If you hit the key fob unlock button once it only unlocks the drivers door, hit it twice in a row and all doors unlock.
