I have a 2007 Malibu & the left rear power door lock motor stopped working. Was looking to find out how much of a job it is to replace & how to take the door trim off.
Thanks in advance for your help!

it took me a full day to replace the driver side lock module.
You can replace the motor in a day.
Get out your handyman tool box, go down to junk yard 1st and get a motor replacment there if they have malibu close to your year, and get a better price than dealer new.
You'll have to buy the star type rachet bits to remove those bolts in the door.
Have fun, and don't worry cuts and scrapes on your hand heal; however the crying never stops at the dealership; especially when you get the large bills.
