Default Replacing Malibu's Radio

I inhereited a 1999 Chevy Malibu and I need to put a better CD / Radio Deck into the car. I took off the face plate and pulled the stock radio out to see what it looks like. I noticed that the power cable does not come out of the radio, if I put a new radio in it do I need to rewire the power back to the battery? Or am I missing a simple replacement step? A simple guide would be nice

Default RE: Replacing Malibu's Radio

the harness should unplug from the radio. squeeze hard on the tabs at the rear of the connector, or use a pick to release the locking hook
