Getting a clicking noise in the drivers side front end when turning, going over bumps, and sometimes when accelerating from a stop. CV joints or any other suggestions?

 

I forgot to mention, about the time this started I hit a pothole on the highway so hard my mirror fell off and the car died. Might be useful. Maybe a bad strut?

I've put it up on jackstands twice now and we checked the cv's, and looked for anything funky, but it all looks good. Ever since sometime last week i've noticed it rarely, if all makes the sound anymore? I'm almost at the point of just taking it to a shop and having them fix it.
