2000 monte carlo security problems please help....

Unhappy 2000 monte carlo security problems please help....

have replaced BCM, and switch security light still comes on sometimes it will not do anything when you try to start it, but will start after a 10 - 20 minute reset just really don't know what else to do.. any ideas out there? Really like my car and would like to keep it just want to be able to depend on it.

Hello, to my understanding both the lumina and the monte carlo have a anti-theft security system. On my lumina it happened and had to the a bypass where i measured the key for the resistance (which allows the switch to read the key) and bought the resistor and cut the orange wire that goes to the ignition switch.
