Chevy Monte Carlo '98 V6 3100 PROBLEM WITH RADIO
Hi. I got a question about my 98 Monte Carlo. I just bought a new radio and subs few weeks ago and i installed it and it was working very well until today. I don't know what had happened but when I turned on my car, I lost the power in my radio. There is completely no power in my new radio, i also checked the old one but i got the same problem. I don't know what could be wrong, it might be something with wires or the fuse (which I can't find at all) Can someone please tell me what should I do now? Thanks, Kamil.

If you look on the passenger side of the dash, in the door jamb, there should be an access panel for the fuse block. Check fuse 38, which is for the radio's acessory power, fuse 10 is the battery feed for the radio. Replace the fuses as neccessary. If they happen to blow again, the aftermarket system may draw too much for the factory wiring to handle so you may want to run a new wire to the ignition and just add a higher rated in-line fuse
