Default First car problems - chevy lumina

I bought a 96 chevy lumina for my first car and it worked perfectly smooth the whole 2 weeks. Yesterday i went to merge onto the highway it didn't accelerate. I had the pedal all the way to the floor and it didn't go like it was suppose to. It eventually got up to speed but it should have picked up when I slammed on the gas. I'm confused because I'm not sure if it is the transmission. It doesn't do this all the time. Also the engine seems to knock sometimes when I pull off from a stop. I know if the transmission was bad it wouldn't move at all and the transmission fluid is perfect. And doesn't smell burnt. Like I said it only happens occasionally so idk wat it could be. Please help me. This is my first car and I want to get it together.

( 96 Chevy lumina 98k miles v6 )

1) OEM Number to cross: P0742
-Definition - TCC Stuck on
2) OEM Number to cross: P0300
-Definition - Cylinder misfire detected - random cylinders

Not sure wat any of this means honestly
