TPMS Issue

Hello there. My TPMS system has lost its mind. First, it would not accept the relearn the last time I rotated the tires. Now, it's showing blank on all four tires.

I'm assuming this is just the module. Is it the one under the dash on the driver's side, or is it somewhere else? I'm confused.

maybe bad tpm sensors in the tires...how old are they? the tpm batteries have a lifespan.

All four at exactly the same time?

no idea what your driving so hard to say specifics.
if your module uses a rcdlr…. the rcdlr module is used for all remote.wireless functions. the other wireless functions work correct...so I doubt its the module..check for codes in the module.

if I had to guess without having a code to follow for diagnostics....have all four sensors registered and see if they begin working...any that don't...replace them.

Um...my username is "07ssman." I'm on the Monte Carlo page. What am I driving?

Also, I never said all other functions were working. The remote lock/unlock works when it wants to. It was so bad at one point I bought a replacement remote, which wouldn't code itself to the car. Which is another reason I think it's the module.

The remote start has never worked. Which is ANOTHER reason I think it's the module.

I'm just trying to get confirmation that it's the same module. Can someone please either confirm or contradict this?

Also, how does one "register" the sensors?

Can I PLEASE get an answer for my question? Is the TPMS module the little white one under the dash, or is it somewhere else?

Maybe someone can check service information...all they need is last 8 of the vin or model year and engine.

Which still doesn't answer my question. Service information isn't going to tell me anything if the module has never been serviced. All I need to know is WHERE IT IS.

tech2 November 17th, 2018 5:45 PM

Service information would tell me where it is....do you think I know where every module is for every car? The first thing service information asks for is make model year engine...and then the service information opens for that build.... U GET IT YET!

If you don't know anything about the Monte Carlo, why are you posting in the Monte Carlo forum?

tech2 November 17th, 2018 11:59 PM

we are long past the point of helping ..so good luck with your search. post your fix.

I wasn't aware you were an admin, or controlled other members.

P.S. I saw that the admins removed your other post. The word you used doesn't apply to me, it applies to someone who types "your" when he means "you're."

I wonder, when your customers ask you questions, do you insult them as you insulted me, or is it only okay to call me names because I don't pay you?

tech2 November 18th, 2018 9:38 AM

don't worry, someone will help you

07SSman November 18th, 2018 3:50 PM

Imagine if you knew how to speak English. You could have helped me. No one else is.

And still, no apology for calling me a name that got you disciplined by the admins. Aren't you special?

tech2 November 19th, 2018 8:38 AM

admins didn't adjust anything. If they did, it would say in the edit. I called you an asshole, then decided to change it.
there are ss cobalts, camaros, silverados, tahoes, malibus, impalas, and mc. I asked you what your build was so I could do a search to get your information; you were a dick about it. you get no help from me. I'm not stopping anyone else from helping you.

07SSman November 19th, 2018 12:37 PM

And I reiterate: it says "07" in the screen name, and it was posted in the Monte/Lumina forum. There was never a Lumina SS. You 1) didn't tell me why you were asking, and 2) should have known my build from the information right in front of your nose.

So many people start stupid fights like this because they don't know how to communicate. I have two degrees in communication, but I guess I expect too much from others.

tech2 November 19th, 2018 10:32 PM

People have screen names for past cars so I don't assume...why because I end up searching the wrong information. Logging into the service information website and searching the wrong data is a waste of my time...so I ask for clarification. I asked multiple times.
I would think someone with 2 degrees in communication would ask why the information was needed. YOUR smart ass reply to this request; your education has failed you.

07SSman December 16th, 2018 12:22 PM

Can someone else possibly help me with this?

SBchevyfan December 17th, 2018 12:03 PM

As far as your remote start function, is it on a factory key fob or aftermarket. If it's aftermarket, it may not have been fully compatible. If a GM fob, try replacing it's battery.

The remote start won't work because I have an engine code (oxygen sensor). That isn't the issue. The issue is, all four TPMS sensors aren't working. Logically, it must be the module. I'm just trying to find out, is the module the white module under the dash? If it isn't, then where is the module?

SBchevyfan December 18th, 2018 11:43 AM

Was there any work performed such as tire rotation, brake service, new tires installed that could have prompted this. Not sure if you advised this in your original post.
