witch oil to use

Default witch oil to use

i bought an 1999 lumina 3.1 i have no ideal what was used in the car befor i bought it and the speedo say 312,876 miles but i dont no if the gauge set up was ever changed. with that said what would you all use for oil Conventional oil or Synthetic oil or DuraBlend oil??

312,876 miles??? that is a few miles,,,if its leaking and burning oil i would not waste money on Synthetic oil,if its not leaking or burning oil then Synthetic would be my choice

I just rolled 91,000 on my '04 3.8 S/C Monte Carlo, and the only thing I use is Royal Purple. I have no knocking or ticking, runs a lot smoother since I made the switch bout 2 years ago.

Should be 5w30. Or should show on the cap.
I use Royal Purple on both my base and Impala SS S/C

hmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in this case the choice would depend upon the status of the box
someone up there has said regarding leaks and stuff

adhere to it and hope for the best
