Default 2002 suburban 1500 z71 5.3

is over heating after 10 miles. replaced thermostat and pump looks new. lines are still hard so they aren't collapsing. drain and bleed the coolant.

Welcome to the forum!
Are you relying on dash gauge alone; what's it reading; or is it obviously overheating? Thermostat changed after you found the problem?

Was the fan replaced with the pump?

we werent the ones that replaced the pump. the guy we bought it from did. so the fan hasnt been touched and yes we replace the thermostat after the gauge said it was over heating and its reading at 250-260 at idle moving it only goes up to 240

Temp should be running at 190-220 F. Might need to flush out the radiator and block at that mileage.
