Default Hello from across the pond.

Hi. I'm new to this site but not to American V8's.
Here in the UK ,the US V8's are more suited to enthusiasts rather than regular daily drivers (rather like US owners of classic British sports cars). I'm in the minority of American car owners here as I use mine as a daily driver. I currently have a 1998 Express Conversion Van (called Dayvans in the UK) and have recently sold an '86 K5 Blazer, before that I had a 2000 Ram, 1990 G20 Conversion Van and '78 Cadillac Seville.
All the above vehicles were never sold 'officially' in the UK and came from the US 'used'. Parts are easily sourced from American car specialists here but they tend to be quite expensive so I normally source my parts direct from the US as it works out cheaper.
Anyway, hello and I hope to use your knowledge to help with any problems I have.
'Have a nice day'.

This was my Blazer. Sold it because it needed too much money spending although it did not let me down and had a good engine.

It needed and window motor, exhaust, weather seal for tailgate and new tailgate glass, would only shift into 4x4 when the engine was warm but it still grinded, front rotors (discs) and pads.
Fuel consumption wasn't great either.
All these jobs are pretty easy to fix but sourcing parts inc shipping was the problem.
I only intended to keep the Blazer over the last winter so would have probably sold it anyway for a suitable vehicle for the summer, who knows I may buy another for the winter of this year !!
