Hello from the Greenville Texas area.
Hello,
TexasAirCooler is my screen name everywhere. Terry is my given name.
I use that screen name because of the hobby I have chosen, long story. . .
I was born and raised in Dallas Texas with a Ford man as a father, of course my first vehicles were Fords because of
that. I soon learned why they were given the handle, "Fix or repair daily." In 1980 I stood up aginst my father and
purchased a '76 Chevy truck. He was so turned of by this he made me park it out near the street, and gave me grief
when ever possible. Almost one year to the day I brought a chevy into the "household" I had to tow bar his Ford truck
home . My truck was now allowed to park in the drive way.
Over the following six months I had to drag it home two more times. Two weeks later I came home from work and there
was a '79 Chevy Bonanza in my dads spot in the driveway. He never owned a Ford again until about a year before his
passing in 2002.
I live out east of Greenville Texas now. I picked up a '93 xcab GMC with a 136k on it in 2000, put another 200k on
it. Replaced the motor & tranny in 2012. Gave it to my Daughter for her first truck, she claims she wont part with
it. One reason being they are the same age!
My street toy now is a '99 2500 GMC 4 door 454 truck. It's fun!
My off road toy is a VW Baja
My retirement toy is a '65 VW transporter or (Bus) as they are called.
Lastly my daily is a '99 Chevy Tahoe, just got it a few months ago so well see.
Thanks,

Thanks for the welcome, I know my way around forums. I've been a Admin on one, A mod on another and I have several FB pages/groups for years.
I've been on some truck forums that cater to all the brands, for most I've found a lot of people don't know what they are talking about. I've got some issues with my GM's I hope to find resolves for on here soon, since this is a one brand forum. I'll just creep and read for a while. I'm a believer in the search method.

Hello Terry.
I am new here also, just made my introductory post.
I used to work for a Diamond Drill Bit Company in Greenville.
They are now long gone but it allowed me to spend a bit of time there.
I was raised not far from you, just across the Border in Broken Bow, Okla.
I really like that part of the country but am planted here in Houston.
I've had a mix of Fords and Chevy's, Cadillacs, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, Buicks and others in my 77 years.
Found something to like in all of them, something to dislike in most of them but I still love cars & trucks. lol
Just wanted to say "Hi".
