Help 2000 tahoe oil lights

Default Help 2000 tahoe oil lights

Check engine oil level and change oil lights keep coming on even after recent oil change. Check oil level light keeps coming on every other day. I check oil and it is always about a quart or 2 low but i cant see any oil leaking from the truck. Help

If it's two quarts low, the oil light will come on.If it's that low, and you are adding oil at the interval, you got a huge problem, since the oil change, did you change the filter? If so, did the old filter o ring come off with the filter? If not, there is your problem.

Im not sure about the O ring. I had a machanic friend of mine put it on but the oil wasn't low after the oil change it was some after it came on like 2 weeks. Also the change oil light. Is there any thing else it could be I was also told maybe some gaskets.And how do I check the O ring?
