Thumbs up Newbie with a 1996 Chevy 1500

Hey Ya'll!
My partner and I just purchased a 1996 Chevy 1500 and I'm keen to learn all about it.
It's not in perfect condition but has good bones.
I'm a maker of things and doer of stuff. I cut my car knowledge teeth changing my fathers oil and brakes with my twin brother when we were 13. I also worked on "Junkward Wars" and picked some things up. I weld, sew, plant food and am interested in how to work sustainable practices into all of it. I also really grock food as medicine.
I like to learn how things work, so I can innovate.

I'm not afraid of power tools.

I hope ya'll are being awesome somewhere, 'cause the world needs awesome.

What would you like to know about your 1996 Chevy pickup?

And the word is Grok, not "grock", if you are quoting Heinlein's novel, "Stranger in a Strange Land".

Hey! Thanks for welcoming me. I often mistype things because I'm all thumbs. You're going to have fun with that :-)
I'm trying to find the Silverado forum, so I can post our "wishlist of repairs on it, and not take up space on the welcome board with those questions.
I did |friend request " you on here because I was able to see very clearly your vast knowledge on all things Chevy.

Thanks! I've working on vehicles since I was 14 and Chevy has always been my favorite brand, but we have two full-time ASE technicians here, so you came to the proper forum. I don't care about mistypes at all.

Welcome here to the Chevrolet Forum, Wolfmother!.
