Just started on the forums. I'm a student at Cal State Northridge. I own three vehicles, two of which were freebies.

I bought my first car at 17, it's a 2002 VW Golf. I still have this car and use it daily. Runs great for 13 years old.

Second, and freebie number one is a 1991 Avanti. For those that don't know, Avanti was a pet project for Studebaker in the 60s. It went through several owners up to its eventual death in 1991. However for the later part of the companies life (mid 80s through 91) the iconic fiber glass body was installed on a modified Caprice chassis. They came with a 305 small block and, originally, a 200r4. The trans was changed to the 700R4 for the 91 model year. Most all the accessories are Chevy, it's mainly the appearance that isn't.

Third, freebie two is a 1961 Jeep CJ5. It used to be a work truck on our family farm but was eventually retired. When my family purchased the property I found the jeep in the junk yard, i immediately turned to my dad and told him that it was my jeep and that I was going to restore it to its OEM glory. So far i've manged to take the whole thing apart and am slowly putting it back together. It's pretty just been stripping, fixing missing/damaged steel, and painting with POR-15.
