The car is a 1995 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme 4 dr with the 3.1L
about 3,000 miles ago a tune up of an air filter, spark plugs and wires were done. Along with all vacuum lines.
My sister's car just broke down today about 2 blocks from my house.
She said the car just died suddenly and lost all power assist ( brakes, power steering and such)
I was getting ready to tow the vehicle back to my house and as i turned it to acc. position in the ignition it primed the fuel pump and gas started pouring out the air box.
I then pulled out the air box and air tube and realized around 12 oz. of fuel cam out of the throttle body.
Pulled the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator and there was still a strong vacuum in the line on the top of the FPR
Will replace FPR tomorrow morning, but wonder what else it could be??
im planning on putting bits of trans fluid in the cylinders for lubrication cause im guessing the fuel washed away all the oil
I will also check for spark to see if its ignition related.
If anyone has any ideas i would appreciate anything.
Thanks everyone!!

Use some oil instead Trans fluid is a detergent and not as slippery. The fuel pressure regulator is the first place I would investigate also.
