Two storage boxes, including extra sheet and foam mats to convert to queen bed, as well as camping accessories. Custom built 5 months ago by me (a mechanical engineer with woodwork experience) and my partner, we are selling this interior camper conversion which fits perfectly into an Astro passenger van. The wood and all parts are in good condition.

We aren’t selling the van itself because it has high mileage and won’t pass smog test in CA. (If you have any local knowledge that might help make this happen for us, let us know though!). So this is a sale of the internal conversion and the accesories that come with it.

We are in LA and selling from 27th Nov to 3rd Dec. We are selling because we are off back to Australia after a brilliant visit to the US.

Storage box sizes:
Left box: 82” x 21.5” x 12” (LWH)
Right box: 47.5” x 21.5” x 12” (LWH)
Removable box: 23” x 18.5” x 12” (LWH, located at sliding door)
Gap between boxes in Astro Van: 24”
This makes a total bed width of 64” and height 73”
box construction from 1/2” ply and lumber. Floor is 3/4” plywood, fits snugly into the rear portion of the Astro.

Note: The Van itself is not for sale as no smog test has been performed.

Configured for sleeping. 4” mats make the mattress. 24” wide camp table and extra boxes fit in the middle.

Configured for campsite, easy access to items stored under boxes.


Storage boxes closed. Foam mattress is made of 3 mats wide for easy stowage on top of long box during daytime. Plywood sheet which makes middle portion of bed sits on top of floor mat during the day, takes up no space.

Shows removable dry food storage box at sliding door which makes up bottom corner of the bed.
