hi, i have a 1994 k1500 blazer with the 5.7 v8. it will run perfect cold and when it heats up to operating temp it just shuts off. then to start it i have to put pedal to floor and it will chug and not want to run. so the check engine light comes on and it reads "coolant temp too low" would a coolant temp sensor cause the engine just to shut off? i really need help, this is my dd and cant drive it!

Yes, the CTS can cause a problem. If the engine is hot and the CTS is telling the computer that the engine is cold, either the engine won't run at all after it warms-upor will run poorly.

yep....just as dewey said.....the coolant temp has some contorl over air\fuel ratios. If it is reading cold, it will add more fuel to the ratio, although i can't say that i have ever seen it add so much fuel that it won't run at all, not to say that it isn't the problem.
