Default 1995 S-10 2.2 sputtering problem

my s10 has a sputtering problem. If i push the gas pedal to the floor, it will run smooth, but if i am accelerating and only have the pedal about half pushed or so, theres a lot of sputtering and it does not ride smoothe at all. I put some lucas oil fuel treatment it, but it didnt seem to do anything. I have had the truck for about a year and when i got it i put all new spark plugs in, got the tranny flushed, and i do regular oil changes. I have put on about 10K miles since i got it. I also heard that a bad fuel filter could cause this. Anyone know of anymore things i could try to resolve this problem? thanks!

A dirty fuel filter could cause this, and so could a dirty throttle body.

fuel filter fixed the problem, but now i ran into another problem, i have a leak now in my return line. Its 2 little pin holes. The pipe is all rusted and brittle, i probably bumped it with a wrench when i was doing the filter. What is the easiest way to fix this?

If the pipe is rusted and brittle, I would replace the whole line.
