Default 2004 Chevy Blazer transmission slipping, 02 sensor or transmission?

Hey everyone I am a brand new member. I joined because I have a lot of questions and i didn't know where to go. I had my Catalytic converter replaced about a month ago. however the CEL stayed on. A couple of days ago my transmission started slipping in high gear. I took it to a local O' Reilly's part store, for a CEL test. It came back saying there was a problem with 02 sensor. Would this cause my transmission to slip? It shifts into first but it won't shift higher unless I press the gas more ( making RPM level very high). I want to change transmission fluids and filter but could it just be the 02 sensor. Well thanks in advance, for you help

If the transmission is slipping then you most liklely need a new trans or a rebuild. If you change the fluid and filter then it likely will not drive anymore or will slip much worse. As far as the o2sensor it will not make the trans slip you just simply may need one. I would be curious to know what the code numbers were before and the converter

thanks for the feedback. i didn't get CEL test until after the converter was changed. the test code was p0155. will a solenoid malfunction be an issue?
