89 S10 4wd question
if i change the gears in the rear diff to lower gears and dont touch the gears in the front diff what will happen when i put this truck into 4wd on dry pavement? will this thing move forward or will it just bind up?

RE: 89 S10 4wd question
I think it would bind up. But I am not 100% certain as the differential in the front might let it slip some?
Not sure, but I wouldn't recommend doing that either way...
If you change the ones in the back I would change the front ones too that way they match up and turn at the same speed. Because you know what happens when you put different size tires on in the front or back right? this would essentially be the same thing...

a good site to go on and ask or do a search for it is either s10fourm.com or s10extremeist.org they should have an answer for you but to mee it doesnt sound like a solid choice.
