Good and bad news
Good news first.... replaced the front drivers side hub bearing, no more rumble. This showed no play but seemed totally dry and rough.
Now the bad news... opened sun roof today, wouldn't close again. You don't want to be in the UK with a stuck open sunroof the rain is bound to find you! Found I could wind it manually but it doesn't move evenly each side. Presume something has broken, anybody have any ideas? Can you obtain parts for the mechanism?

is the fuse still good? a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the tracks may help with the side to side thing on manual cranking, also when it worked did it seem laboured?

Only had to move it slightly manually then the electric motor took over, one side at the back lifted into place but to get the other side flush with the roof we had to push the power switch a few more times.

sounds like the original grease on it is stopping it from operating properly, if it were me (everything of mine must work properly) i would be dropping the headliner and degresing everything and putting new lithuim grease in it
