HELP:Unique 2005 Blazer gear select / odometer issue
My 2005 s10 blazer has a strange problem. The LCD gear selector and odometer/trip screens work perfectly when the truck is off and the key is in the accessory position. When I turn the truck on, they immediately turn off.
The fact they work when the truck ignition is in the accessory position tells me it should not be a IP cluster resistor or soldering issue.
I tried replacing the headlamp / dimmer switch (even though the other cluster lights all work and the dimmer worked too) and this did not resolve it.
This truck was parked for about a year and I am looking to get it back on the road. Everything was working when parked. Other issues that showed up at the same time are the wipers do not work (turn signals do) and the 4wd switch is not lit and does not function (don't know if these are all related but want to give as much info as possible).
Does anyone have an idea of what is going on and how to repair it? I am at a loss.
