Given the clearances I see, you probably could increase a couple more sizes, but...

Keep in mind, that the best performance is realized when the width of the tread and the width of the rim are the same. Otherwise, when you put a wide tire on a narrow rim, it creates an oval, and can be quite "wobbly" and several other performance features are compromised as well.

Are you 4WD ?
Yes, very well maintained.
Offroading...ok, but emphasis on what type terrain ?

This is the tire i decided to go with i stepped up to a 235 instead of having 215.

This will meet my expectations for offroading/snow

For what kind of off roading? Occasionally going up the state game lands Rough terrain (like extremely rough) mudding ETC...

And yes 4WD

Annd thank you for trying to help and if you have anymore suggestions please let me know. Thank you for caring.

So, I was hoping to give my truck a wider stance because I live in the country with winding curvy roads. My truck is a 95 S-10 2wd. According to the glove box sticker it came with 205/75r15's. They're 27.1x8.1. I was wanting to get 255/60r15's. They're 27 x 10. You're saying they'll be oval and wobbly. What other performance issues would be compromised? Will they wear faster because of the oval shape and wobble and be unstable? I thought they would give a better ride and more stability on the curves. The skinny tires don't have much of a footprint in snow and ice. Should I buy bigger rims and maybe go to 16 inch rims?
