Default Power Door Locks

Hello, new to the group. Glad I found this resource.
I did a search before I posted this problem, and didn't find anything similar, so here goes.
96 S-10 Blazer 4Dr. The power door locks work from inside switches, both individual and master, they also work from the tailgate window lock. They don't work from the outside locks, driver and passenger side. I was reading in some of the searched posts, that software could be an issue. Could that be the case with my vehicle, or should I look elsewhere?
Thank You

welcome to the forum,

sounds like the power locks are working, and would make sense if outside multiple doors do not work that it could be s/w, or electrical (but unlikely if all outer locks that a wire issue) perhaps a fuse that impacts all the external wiring. do you have a keyless entry on your key chain, does that open/lock? do the outside door lock ok? just not unlock? best recomendation is to take it a dealer or independent shop for a free look at possible issue.

Sometimes you have to lock it with the key fob in order to unlock it with the key fob. Make sense? Ex. you can't unlock it with the fob if you lock it from the inside.
