S10 noise in steering turning right
I have a 2000 S10 4WD 4.3L manual trans, stopped or rolling, when turning the steering wheel to the right it makes a sort of howling noise in the steering wheel, it will not do it when turning left, this just started 3 days ago. Checked the power steering fluid and its level is ok. The belt is new. The right wheel bearing has been replaced about a year and a half ago and has maybe 10,000 miles on it since the replace. I have greased all of the linkage and ball joints and the problem persists.
Any suggestions to what I should be looking at next?

How would one go about checking the power steering pump? Do I have to have it flow tested somewhere?
But on the other hand, I don't quite under stand a power steering pump doing it only when turning in one direction. It doesn't make any sense as the pump does only one thing, it build pressure for the steering gear to use and the gear directs it in the direction needed. Please correct me if I am wrong.
