Question sensor 2 - O2 heater code

is this an easy DIY? mechanic wants to charge $200, and i don't have that right now. how long will i be able to drive my truck until i experience some real problems. only problem so far is check engine light stays on.

sensor 2 is after catalytic converter. easy job, just like changing a spark plug. pull connector, replace old with new, reconnect, done.

where can i find the catalytic converter? i have a 2004 s10 LS 4x4

it looks kinda like a muffler just after the exhaust pipes come down from motor, about mid-truck. within a few inches out the back, you should come across the sensor. looks like a big spark plug.
