Shaved tailgate question

Default Shaved tailgate question

the guy i bought my 99 sonoma shaved the tailgate but didnt put the handle back in so i was wandering if I could just put a stock one into the hole cut on the inside of the tailgate or do i have to buy the relocator kit

does the shaved tailgate have a rescess for a license plate? If not, I'd just replace it with a new tailgate. It would be extremely hard to move the latching mechanism from the popper to a handle unless it was a stock tailgate to begin with.[/align]

it was stock to start with, the guy just shaved the handle and cut a hole on the inside and just never put a handle or poppers on it so u have to reach in the hole and pull the 2 rods to open it.
