Default timing question

i have an 89 s10 blazer with a 4.3L... was wondering what would happen if u ran it with the est wire unhooked... cause it idles better and revs up alot faster with it unhooked

Your timing won't advance without it, what do you have the base timing set at?
I have mine set about 6 degrees advanced.
