Default transmission slipping?

Well just got my a/c repaired today after a couple of months. Up until this point truck had been running fine with its 4.3L, but today after driving about 10 miles or so the transmission started to slip a bit. When I would come to a complete stop or slow down enough were it would shift back into first, I would pick up speed and the engine would rev and then the transmission would jump into second. It would do the same shifting from second to third. Any ideas? Btw this is a automatic trans. and the year would be a '99.

Thanks

Your air won't have a thiong to do with your trans As long as the ac is not over capacity on frion and the units are good you'll run fine Your problem is tranny slip which means your gears are not going into sink when tranny shifts

My Transmission is sluggish between 1st and second gear. I usually have to let up to help it into second. I changed the filter and fluid and that seemed to work for about 1 day. Any ideas?

As usual...check your oil. (running warm engine, first you need to shift through all gears, then pull out the stick and check both the amount of oil AND the colour.)
If oil is not RED, then you will need to replace both oil AND filter.
If there is rust in it, it might be wiser to let someone revise your transmission.

Certain transmissions, have electronic steering. But not sure how that actually works.
