zr2 tyre width vs rim width
Hi all,
I have been looking for a set of rims for my 1992 s10 blazer for a while now. I plan to install a lift kit and then run 31's on it.
Finding a tyre isnt an issue, but finding a rim on the other hand...
stock my s10 has 15x7 rims and i thought these would be too small to put a 31x10.5 tyre onto. But then i came across the s10 blazer zr2 that has 31X10.5 tyres fitted to 15X7 wheels as a factory standard?
So now i am totally confused. I have spent aged trying to find a 15X10 rim that fits my s10 blazer because i thought 15X7 or even 15X8 would be too narrow to fit this tire on.
So is there anyone out there that can confirm that a 31x10.5 will actually fit on a 15X 7 rim? If i google it, i get results that say " sure not problem" as well as " no way, thats dangerous"
here is a picture of the zr2 i am referring to as having the 31X10.5 on a 15X7 rim
