2012 Equinox 1LT
My first Chevy SUV (had a Malibu previously). Originally went in to look at 2011's, but I guess in 2012 they've upgraded the stereo (a touchscreen stereo is standard now according to the dealer). Also got the backup camera, bluetooth/steering wheel audio, remote start, and power driver's seat. 4 cylinder engine. Got about 250 miles on it so far, and absolutely love it!

I'd like to know why the equinoxs only allow 15 minutes of remote start running time (I have 2012) and after that one 10 or 15 minute run time one has to physically go to the car and insert the key to reset it so you can remote start it again. I have a remote start for my Chevy Van (2002) and I can start it as many times as I want from a remote place. I don't do that often, but have in the winter. Is this new deal something required by the Feds to reduce use of gas or global warming? Just could not understand why one had to actually go to the car to reset it. Thanks...
