Default This car is AMAZING!

I am amazed at the quality and appearance of this vehicle and all the tech is just icing on the cake.

I am referring to my new 2014 Impala 2LTZ wearing White Diamond Tricoat with all available options including Adaptive Cruise Control.

The Mojave/Black Leather interior is well thought out and uses high quality materials.

Picked it up last Saturday and still only scraped the surface on all the features and functions.

Getting lots of stares also which we knew would happen.

Got the GM Family Discount plus another $1000 bonus cash so walked out with a car listed at $42,355 for $37,285.

Almost makes me feel bad for the previous gen owners but......not that bad.

Love this car.

Thanks for the welcome and the compliment. Wife and I went back and forth over the color but eventually agreed that the White Diamond was keep us both happy.. Looking forward to hanging here from time to time.

Blood has been GM blue ever since Dad brought the 69 Chevelle SS 396 home from the dealer.

I knew at 6 months old this car was awesome. LOL....obviously I am embelishing a little but when he sold it in 79 it almost killed my 10 yr old self.

Anyway,

Some of the specs are as follows:

3.6L 305HP VVT 24 valve V6 Rated 19/29 22 overall MPG. Seems fairly accurate so far with 750 miles

6 speed auto with manual mode. Rocker switch on top of shifter. Like it better than the 2012 Cruze LTZ RS we had which required moving the entire stick up or down. This is much more elegant

Adaptive Cruise Control - Will slow and even stop the car when the cruise is set and you get too close to the vehicle in front of you. Will maintain a distance based on a Large, Med or small gap setting that you choose and is indicated on the small color display

Crash Imminent Braking - Has a camera installed behind the rear view mirror that monitors the raod in front of you and if needed will start beeping and flashing multiple bright red LEDs in your face telling you to hit the brakes. If the car believes you are not responding fast enough it will cut the throttle and if needed apply the brakes. Amazing!

Mojave/Black Leather Interior with heated/cooled seats
8 way adjustable driver/pass seat with lumbar and memory
Power Tilt/Telescopic/Heated steering wheel

Bose 11 Speaker Audio System - Unable to find any listing on power output but after connecting my phone started playing "long time" from Boston and it was scary loud but still as clear and crisp as I have ever heard in my 44 years on this planet. Blew my mind it could get that loud and still sound AWESOME. Worth every penny for the premium sound

Mylink System looks cool as heck. After a few days starting to get the hang of it. Started messing around with the voice command system today. Seems like a couple of days and it will be natural. It has the Nuance voice recognition software which is highly rated for learning commands from users

3D Navigation w/8" touchscreen that raises/lowers by touch of button and has storage cubby behind it that is lockable with a code

Onstar system and yes remote start/stop/lock/unlock/fuel left/miles driven/download destinations to Nav system from phone etc

4.5" Secondary Color Screen in dash cluster for redundant information

Auto Dimming Rear and Side View mirrors
Back up camera with cross traffic/back up alert
Dual Exhaust
LED Daytime Running Lights
HID Headlights
20" Wheels with 245/40R-20 Bridgestone Potenza RE92AS Tires
120 Volt rear seat power outlet
3 USB ports 1 SD Card slot
Bluetooth Phone and Music Streaming
Ice Blue Ambient lighting shown in Photos. In dash along with front/rear doors

Passive Locking System - locks when you walk away from car

Turn indicators/Puddle lights in Mirrors which tilt down when put in Reverse

Dual Zone Auto Climate Control - Can be synced together or set seperately

Some of the attention to detail is really nice:

IMPALA is embroidered in to the carpeted trunk floor mat. Looks high class to me

Chevy Bowties molded in to the headlight lenses.

Contrasting black piping in the Mojave colored seats along with white stitching in the Mojave upper door and dash trim.

I still have a lot to learn about this car as it comes with 4 manuals but considering my job is in the IT field I feel I should have it down in another week or so.

It has been said in several reviews that this car could sell for $60K if the sheeple did not know it was a Chevy Impala. I agree 1000% with that assessment due to the quality, engineering, technology and assembly of this amazing car.

Congrats to GM for giving me yet another example I can cite when saying I am proud to support GM.

Hi Laura,

Thanks for the welcome.

As stated I have been a life long GM/Chevrolet customer. I expect my final ride to be in a Caddy of course.

Anyway,

I may take you up on the offer and send you a PM with a few questions.

Congratulate the people at GM for me who were involved in this car.

Everyone from the designers, engineers, accountants, factory employees, suppliers and anyone I may have forgotten. They have all done an excellent job in my opinion and should be proud of the product they helped make a reality and I am sure they are. It shows!

I fully expect this car to provide us with the same faithful, trouble free service my family and myself have received from GM vehicles over the years. I would estimate that number somewhere around 65 vehicles in 25 years.

The benefit is this is one bad *** ride that nothing in its class compares to.

Now please, make sure I have my check by next week. Going to the Bahamas! LOL!
