Hello from Reno Nevada
Hi Gang,
We are owners of a Chevy Suburban and Tahoe and we really love both of them. Our 01 Suburban has 150k miles and under other circumstances i would have sold it and bought another one. But we just bought our son a car and cash is a little tight, so I would like to keep the Suburban another few years.
I heard these are 200k+ mileage cars, so will we make it ? Should be expect to have to replace the tranny and engine ?
If so, any idea what these might cost ?
Thanks.

Welcome to the Chevrolet Forum!
I see you are one of the many who do not receive their confirmation e-mails, so I'll fix that for you right away so you may have full privilege of all the forum's features.
I also must tell you that the new member welcome area is off-limits for advice questions, so if you will, could you post your question in the Tahoe & Suburban section of the Forum?

Hi Evans, thanks for the response. I was surprised I did not receive an e-mail confirmation, but I am glad you can take care of it.
Yes, I realized I was not supposed to do a technical post here, so I moved it to the Suburban sub-forum.
Thanks.

Welcome dadzer...just continue to do the maintenance and drive it like you do now and my guess is that it will go the distance. This bunch is helpful too so don't fail to ask questions 'cause these folks have the solutions.
